We saw Sue and some of her family this past Sunday. She
looks good and is doing quite well.
She got through her basic rehabilitation quickly and they
are ready to release her from the facility, which will occur once she has her own
customized chair and a place to go. The chair is on order. Her home needs to be
retrofit for wheelchair access and all that goes along with that. Since that
will take quite some time, they are working to find a temporary home that meets
their needs until the work on their house can be completed.
In the meantime, the facility is working with her on more
advanced training which she welcomes. There was talk about wheelchair
"wheelies!" Look for her on You-Tube (just kidding!) In usual Sue
fashion, her spirits are high and her amazing family remains there for her
daily. She asked me to say hello to everyone and let you all know she is well.
She wishes she could attend the upcoming KOBF dinner - I'm sure we'll see her
there next year...
